About
Us
Abyss Dive Charters L.L.C. currently is operating with
two boats out of two separate ports. We supply professional
and reliable water transportation and dive services for
the pursuit of leisure and adventurous SCUBA diving activities
in and around the Great Lakes. Our service level is based
on the idea that divers want a vacation like atmosphere
where they can relax and enjoy their hobby. The goal of
our company is to create long-term friendships with all
of our customers, and to do that a different approach
is needed. Divers can expect extra help with their equipment,
assistance getting in and out of the water and knowledgeable
staff that have spent hours on each of the different wreck
sites.
The
company offers ½ or full day trips to dive shops
or groups, operating within a 10-15 mile radius of the
ports listed above. For those who have a specific destination
in mind, there is the "Targeted Charter" where
we commit to getting to a specific dive site (weather
permitting). A targeted charter typically runs the whole
day.
Individual
divers are also welcomed. When individuals contact us
and don't want to charter the whole boat, we will attempt
to place them in one of the ½ or full day charters
already scheduled. If that doesn't work, we will attempt
to get a minimum of 3 divers to commit, and schedule the
smaller group for one of the open ½ day charters
in the afternoon. Individual divers are also encouraged
to purchased one of three annual cards, which can be used
during a dive shop scheduled trip or when contacting us
for a single spot on one of the charters. For more information
on annual cards and how they work, see your local dive
shop or the "Products and Services" section
in this web site.
